Article explores the impact of globalization on Puerto Rico (PR) & argues for the development of a revolutionary program. The establishment of the Boricua-Macheteros’ Popular Army & its struggle for independence from neocolonial policy are introduced. The Macheteros’ analyses of globalization, neoliberalism, & privatization are presented with attention to the role of the US & implications for PR. Internal factors that may be problematic in the construction of a revolutionary program in PR are evaluated.
